Two major conferences that impact interest in advanced transport occurred in the last month. PodCarCity8 in Stockholm (Sept 3-5) emitted strong signs that ATN is now a serious contender for urban transit implementations. Well attended by many ATRA members, this conference has emerged as the yearly focal point for ATN interested. The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) world congress was also held in September, in Detroit, Michigan, the traditional automotive mecca for the US. The momentum in the automated and autonomous vehicle arena has direct bearing on public mobility.
As a benefit to ATRA members, a short conference call is being held to hear first-hand from ATRA members of the highlights and impressions.
