Heathrow Airport has today officially unveiled its revolutionary new battery powered people movers – the Heathrow pods. Started in 2005, it has taken six years for the Heathrow pod to be built and has cost the airport €35m. Now it is completed the pods will carry 500,000 passengers each year, BAA said.
